We have Professional Engineering Licenses issued by West Virginia, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Kentucky. We have Professional Land Surveyor Licenses issued by West Virginia, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Virginia, Kentucky, and North Carolina.

Our NWIS CPWI + V certified welding inspectors, NACE CIP1 & CP2 certified coating inspectors, and API 1169 certified pipeline inspectors have the experience and knowledge to make sure your project is done right. Our team also holds Veriforce and Industrial Training Services operator qualifications. I3 Engineering’s Management Team possesses over 60 years of experience in managing the design, construction, and operation of natural gas pipelines and facilities. They have been part of the design and installation of hundreds of miles of pipelines from 4 inch to 42 inch and facilities from the smallest meter station to major compressor stations with multiple units. Our project managers are focused on keeping our client’s projects on time and on budget. They help allocate the internal resources needed to drive our projects to completion while helping ensure the work product going out the door is not only timely, but accurate and complete. David Mordan Jr., P.E.

With over 25 years of experience in the natural gas pipeline, compression, and liquids industry, David Mordan established I3 Engineering & Consulting, LLC in 2013 in Bridgeport, West Virginia. Despite starting with only one employee, today I3 Engineering is over 35 employees strong. Dave began his career working for Williams in Houston, TX. After becoming involved in Cove Point LNG facility with Williams, Dave transitioned to Dominion Energy when they purchased the facility in 2002. In 2004, he was promoted to Manager–Engineering Projects and headed several of the company’s major pipeline expansion projects. In 2009, Dave was promoted to Director of Operations and in 2012 Director of Engineering. Mordan holds a bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from the Pennsylvania State University and is a licensed professional engineer in eight states.
