Measurement & Regulation
This project included the design and construction of a wet gas Measurement & Regulation (M&R) interconnect facility tying the customer’s pipeline into an existing wet gas transmission system.
Due to the dual-phase nature of the flow, the design required separation of liquids from the gas stream prior to measurement. A slug catcher with associated finger skids was installed to capture and manage liquid surges, allowing the liquids to be separated from the gas stream. The recovered liquids were then filtered and pressure-stabilized before being measured independently from the gas stream to ensure accurate and reliable custody transfer.
I3 Engineering provided comprehensive design coordination and construction oversight to ensure proper integration, operational safety, and measurement integrity. The images above highlight key phases of construction and final completion of the M&R facility.
